SUMMARY
I co-founded and run Mediated Spaces, Inc., an innovative mobile and web based solutions startup. I have most recently worked worked on several mobile phone applications, commercial websites, and innovative new features. In May of 2006, I received my master’s degree from New York University’s Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP), focused on mobile phone application development, narratives, games, and examining creative uses of technology.

Co-founder of a mobile phone and web based software development company. Built startup venture and several mobile and web based applications, including The WildLab, The Skymap, and The Soundscaper. The WildLab was awarded 1st Runner Up at the 2008 NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge. The Skymap was awarded Grand Prize Winner in the WHERE.com Spring Developer Contest. Both awards included small VC Funding. The WildLab is a mobile platform that enables citizen scientists to collect and track data on wildlife. Led iPhone development process which included graphic design, code development, and iTunes AppStore application deployment. The WildLab is currently available for purchase on the iTunes App Store. I have also developed Facebook applications, and have pursued VoIP and streaming media technologies.

Designed Information Architecture wireframe schematics for clients such as Virgin Mobile, TV Guide, GE, NBC, Philip Morris USA. Presented research findings and cutting edge tools for client projects and proposals. Conducted and compiled user research interviews and materials. Assisted with massive redesign efforts for GE’s global intranet. Designed proposed product mockups including 2-D barcodes.

Created daily content updates including: static content, site features, weekly polls, quizzes, site graphics, and bi-weekly newsletters. Worked closely with editorial, sales, marketing, circulation, fashion, IT, and business departments to manage current and future site development and maintenance, increase site exposure and ad revenue, and create promotional features. Designed, created, and programmed innovative interactive editorial and marketing features and tools from storyboarding, development, and deployment. Managed massive site redesign from planning, site schematics & wireframes, development, migration, transition, and testing the redesign integration. Programmed and monitored website within InterWoven TeamSite CMS. Created bi-monthly newsletters, which were sent out using Doubleclick’s DartMail tool to over 650,000 users. Built and managed development of Community Bulletin Boards and Chat Sessions where our users could communicate with others on a variety of issues. Implemented and created advertising and circulation banners, code, and promotions. Assisted editorial staff with copy editing, print/website integration, writing quizzes, interviews, and movie/music reviews.
