Tafe Managers Enterprise Agreement 2019

TaFE NSW has therefore proposed two wage increases of 2.5%, payable from 1 January 2018 and 1 January 2019. TAFE NSW attempted to maintain all other claims in the proposed enterprise agreement. Educators employed in TAFE children`s centres are covered by the TAFE Commission of NSW Teachers in the TAFE children`s Centres enterprise agreement, while TAFE officials are covered by the TAFE Commission of NSW Institute Managers Agreement. In the absence of an agreement through negotiation, the employer has the option of gettinging the workers without the union`s support. In this case, the union generally strongly advises its members to reject the employer`s offer by voting “no.” The Australian Education Union NSW Teachers Federation and TAFE NSW began negotiations late last year for a new Tafe Commission of NSW Teachers and Related Employees Enterprise Agreement. Both parties have an interest in robust and fast business negotiations and are committed to this. TAFE NSW is in the process of entering into negotiations for a new enterprise agreement for TAFE NSW employees, which will be covered by the Tafe Commission of NSW TAFE Managers Enterprise Agreement 2015. The current agreement expires on June 30, 2017. The Fair Labour Commission can and will refuse agreements that do not meet its requirements.

Today, TAFE NSW has also written to the relevant trade unions, the Community and the Public Sector Union (CPSU) and the Australian Federation of Education (NSW Teachers Federation) for the start of negotiations.
